Window Exhibit on Bloor & July 17 Workshop
I've got something in the window of Gallery 1065 until the end of the month and that's where I'm leading a needle-felting workshop on Thursday
Workshop This Thursday
I’ll be hosting a needle-felting workshop with wine this Thursday at Gallery 1065 (1065 Bloor St W, east of Dufferin). Needle felting is a way to create felt objects by repeatedly stabbing wool fibres over and over again, so they mash together and become felt. It’s something I learned to do in the early 2000s, and for a while, I was making all kinds of needle-felted creatures. Get a ticket on Eventbrite! Limited spots are available. The wine component is optional—check the link for details and registration info.
Gallery 1065 Window Exhibit
When I was away in NYC last month, Gallery 1065 offered me their window for the month of July. I had a number of ideas in terms of what to do, but decided to create something colourful with the material I used for the installation on the fence at Dufferin and Geary.
Gallery boss Monica said I should draw a picture to show where you can find my work this month, and suggested I get someone to illustrate my face. So, I made a map and I illustrated my face, too, and I put it in the window at the gallery.
I’m going to be doing a few other things out of this gallery space.
Stay tuned for more!
Yours truly,
Shari K.
